Madinah Book Fair 2022 begins today

The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission will host the Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Book Fair 2022, which will run from today to June 25 and will feature over 300 publishing firms.

According to the Commission's CEO, Dr. Muhammad Hassan Alwan, the exhibition comes to elevate the prominence of Al-Madinah, which has long served as an intellectual light and a centre for cultural interaction. He explained that the exhibition would take readers on an integrated trip into the heart of Madinah.

Alwan went on to say that Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah is kicking off its cultural fest with the participation of hundreds of local and Arab international publishing houses, as well as cultural and intellectual institutions and bodies, with the goal of raising awareness and encouraging the spread of knowledge and books.

The Madinah Book Fair includes a rich cultural programme spanning more than 80 activities, with the participation of elite speakers from within and outside the Kingdom, where intellectuals, historians, and writers participate in dialogue sessions, seminars, poetry nights, and workshops, as well as a theatrical show and a variety of activities lasting 10 days.

The Madinah Book Fair is notable for providing a forum for publishing houses to display their products in all disciplines of knowledge, since it is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., except on Friday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
